SoulStream Leadership:

Steve ImbachSteve Imbach is the director of SoulStream.  Steve has received spiritual direction for 29 years and after training by Sr. Lily Quintos R. C. has been offering it for over 20 years. Steve worked as a real estate and dental salesperson for 28 years.  He graduated from Regent College, Vancouver BC with a Master of Christian Studies.  Steve helps in facilitating the courses offered by SoulStream, loves the outdoors, walking, cooking for friends and family and is working at being semi-retired.

 

 

Jeff ImbachJeff Imbach is the facilitator for SoulStream’s Contemplative Living portfolio. Jeff was the founding president of the Henri Nouwen Society of Canada. He was a pastor in Calgary and has offered spiritual direction for over twenty years. Jeff is the author of two books: The Recovery of Love: Christian Mysticism and the Addictive Society, and the award winning book, The River Within: Loving God, Living Passionately, and has edited Words of Hope and Healing: 99 Sayings by Henri Nouwen. Jeff completed an M.Div. and was personally mentored in spiritual direction by Sr. Nora Cummins, F.C.J. and Sr. Lily Quintos, R.C.

 

Karen WebberKaren Webber is the facilitator for SoulStream’s Spiritual Direction Portfolio. Karen’s desire to live with an open heart before God has been shaped by her life experiences including a career in dietetics, involvement in her church community, being the parent of two adult children, along with husband Doug, and her love of the outdoors. She trained as a spiritual director with SoulStream.

 

 

 

John KiemeleJohn Kiemele is the facilitator for SoulStream’s Partnership Portfolio. John desires to offer Jesus a listening heart leading to willing service, and desires to share such contemplative experiences with others in community. This has led to founding and directing the Selah Center, a contemplative retreat ministry in the greater Seattle area, where he offers spiritual direction, retreats and seminars. John has also served on a seminary faculty and as an associate pastor.

 
 
 

Audrey HoehnAudrey Hoehn is the administrator of SoulStream.  Audrey discovered spiritual direction and the contemplative lifestyle about 6 years ago and has found it to be a blessing and compliment to the natural rhythm of her life. Audrey is a personal counsellor with an office in her home, where she also does her administration work for SoulStream. Audrey has three married children, who are all amazing, and is anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild. Audrey loves reading, cooking for her family and friends, and traveling.

David Johnson serves as Lead Pastor of Midway Community Covenant Church in Seattle, Washington, a congregation with a hunger for a deep spirituality and eager to make a difference in its under-resourced neighborhood . With a professional background in teaching, music, and drama, it has always been David’s passion to communicate the transforming love of Jesus in fresh and creative ways that bridge all of our cultural, social, economic, and generational diversity.
 

Ron & Toni Cartmell
Ron & Toni Cartmell

Ron & Toni Cartmell co-pastor The Salvation Army Congregation in Kelowna. They have given leadership in The Salvation Army for 28 years in various capacities. Ron has a passion for equipping the next generation of Christian leaders. Toni has a passion to see hearts restored to God and loves to minister in the margins.
 
 
 

Roland Balzer
Roland Balzer

Roland Balzer has worked as a public school teacher and administrator and as pastor of two congregations for a total of 23 years. Presently he is the spiritual coordinator and chaplain of a seniors extended care home in Abbotsford. He enjoys giving spiritual direction, affirming the work of God in an individual’s life.  He is a facilitator of Taizé Evening Prayer services, a planner for Week of Prayer for Christian Unity services, a member of the local Nature Club, and enjoys hiking.
 
 

Brad Jersak
Brad Jersak

After serving for twenty years as a pastor and church planter,Brad Jersak now travels as a seminar speaker and author. His books, such as Can You Hear Me?, focus on the contemplative practice of ‘listening prayer.’ He currently attends Fresh Wind Christian Fellowship in Abbotsford, BC, where his wife Eden, is the lead pastor.

Kathy Kiesser

Kathy Kiesser is Associate Pastor Spiritual Formation and Discipleship, Tapestry Church in Richmond, British Columbia. Her passion is to restore God’s life giving love as the central transformative focus of our everyday living. Living life from a core loving relationship with our trinitarian God, quiets our performance agenda in life and allows for work, worship and service to flow out of relationship.

 

Tony Vander Woude
Tony Vander Woude

Tony Vander Woude spent thirty-three years in the publishing industry, the last thirteen as CEO and Chairman of Pearson Education Canada. He is married to Sue, father of three, grandfather of six ranging in age from five to eighteen. Tony is actively involved in Highland Community Church in Abbotsford, BC and also serves as a mentor in the Arrow Leadership Executive Program. Tony enjoys traveling with Sue, reads extensively, plays tennis and bridge, and dabbles at woodworking and gardening.
 

Karin Dart
Karin Dart

Karin Dart lives in Abbotsford B.C. with her husband Ron. She is a spiritual director, a harpist, and is active at St. Matthew’s Anglican Parish. She enjoys reading, kayaking, hiking and going on road trips to explore North America’s amazing National Parks.

 
 
 

Brian Klassen
Brian Klassen

Brian Klassen is a marriage and family therapist with practices in Langley and Abbotsford.  He and his wife Marcia have two children in university and one in high school.  Along with being passionate about his work and family, Brian finds great joy in good food and wine and spends many Sundays in Seattle with Marcia watching the Seattle Mariners.
