Be-Longing: Coming Home to the Gift of Being Yourself
That’s plain enough, isn’t it? You’re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here…
Ephesians 2:19 (The Message)
True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.
Brené Brown, Braving the Wilderness: The Quest for True Belonging and the Courage to Stand Alone

Esther lives in Vernon, B.C. She offers spiritual direction and co-facilitates SoulStream’s Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Esther values authenticity and vulnerability and you hear it in her facilitating and read about it on her blog An Everyday Pilgrim. She is the author of three books: Stories of an Everyday Pilgrim, Seed Cracked Open, and In the Heart of the Beloved. She, too, enjoys hanging out with her grandchildren and hiking and biking with her husband in the beauty of the North Okanagan.
