What gives you joy?
Nature and animals and spending time with friends.
What is your greatest fear?
Severe physical pain that I can’t bring down.
What inspires you?
Beauty in nature, the ocean, the mountains. People who live with hard things and yet have a grace or elegance about them.
What is your favourite pastime?
Cooking, looking up recipes, trying new recipes and sharing what I’ve cooked with others.
What living person do you most admire?
Malala. She is a brave and courageous person. Well able to speak, despite people’s efforts to silence her.
What qualities do you most value in your friends?
Faithfulness, trustworthiness, a sense of humour.

Mary Oliver, Victor Frankl (Man’s Search for Meaning), Richard Wagamese, Margaret Craven (I Heard the Owl Call My Name)
My favourite story?
The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Anderson.

Who is your hero of fiction?
The Little Prince.
If I gave you a medal right now what would it be for?
In February I gave a talk at my church about myself and my inner journey. Very difficult and very worthwhile.
What is the greatest gift SoulStream has given you?
It’s given me people who value similar things to me. People who can talk honestly about hard things and a place where I can be myself.
