Schedule for A Day of Welcoming Lent
We will begin at 9:30 a.m., but please come at 9:15 to get settled. We plan to end by 3:30 p.m.
- Overview of day & prayer
- Short Teaching
- Silent time for reflection
- Sharing – with partner or in small groups
- Lunch
- Introduction to reflection activity
- Individual creative reflection
- Sharing with partner (structured)
- Large group discussion & summary
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please bring a notebook and pen and wear comfortable clothing.
Special Eucharist Service on Maundy Thursday
The Day of Welcoming Lent also includes a eucharist celebration and invitation into the Easter weekend on Maundy Thursday (March 24, 2016) at 7:00 – 8:30 pm
The eucharist celebration will be lead by Steve Imbach.
Both events will be held at 35535 McKee Road in Abbotsford.
Cost: $65.00
All proceeds go to SoulStream Initiatives, a non-profit organization that seeks to support the contemplative lifestyle and encourage others to live authentically with Jesus.
About Andrea Kastner
Andrea Kastner is a Founding Partner of SoulStream and helps in facilitating the courses offered by SoulStream. Andrea loves the outdoors, and fulfills the role of SoulStream’s vocational prayer person. She has made it her life’s vocation to live prayerfully and mindfully in regards to God’s presence in all things. Andrea leads retreats and is a spiritual director.
About Steve Imbach
Steve Imbach is the Executive Director Emeritus of SoulStream. Steve has received spiritual direction for 29 years and after training by Sr. Lily Quintos R. C. has been offering it for over 20 years. Steve worked as a real estate and dental salesperson for 28 years. He graduated from Regent College, Vancouver BC with a Master of Christian Studies. Steve helps in facilitating the courses offered by SoulStream, loves the outdoors, walking, cooking for friends and family and is working at being semi-retired.
