Irene Fennema

It was through my own experience of receiving spiritual direction that the journey towards offering sacred space for others began. Welcoming others to explore and sift through everyday experiences feels to me like holy ground. As I lean into living awake and discovering God in the ordinary, I find myself in daily interaction with nature, enjoying photography with an eye on metaphor, and reading contemplative poetry as a quiet way to clarify my inner life. I am a SoulStream (BC) trained spiritual director living in Victoria, BC on the traditional, un-ceded territory of the Coast Salish People, and meet in person with directees, or online. I live in a cooperative housing neighbourhood with my husband where community, equality, and respect are values.
