Petra Anderson

I have been offering Spiritual Direction out of Vancouver, Canada, since obtaining a certificate for SD from SoulStream in 2006. What drew me to SD was that I love one on one meetings with people where we pay attention to God’s work in their lives together. Going deeper with God is exciting for me whether I am accompanying a directee or whether I am meeting with my own spiritual director. It is a privilege and gift to be invited into someone’s journey with God and I hold that with greatest confidentiality.

I have directees all across Canada and throughout the world, from frontline workers reaching out to the marginalized and poor, to pastors, missionaries, theology students and people who just want to develop a deeper awareness of God’s work in their lives wherever God has put them in their families  or in the marketplace. My  passion is to journey with people in the spiritually rich but also in the dry times as they are seeking to connect with the triune God more deeply in the joys and the sufferings that life brings.

Originally from Germany where I was a High School teacher, I moved to Canada in ’89, graduated with an MCS from Regent College in ’98 and was in pastoral ministry for close to 25 years together with my husband Mark. I have two grown daughters and love to travel, hike and row.
