Nurturing Contemplative Experiences

The mission of SoulStream centers on nurturing contemplative experience with Christ leading to inner freedom and loving service.

Many Partners and friends have felt the invitation to offer contemplative experiences to others as a way to live out this mission in their own circle of relationships. As a result, SoulStream desires to explore with others some of the themes of facilitation that have made our courses so life-giving.

This workshop is for those who:

have a growing experience of contemplative life
and are interested in facilitating contemplative experiences with a range of focus, such as an introduction to contemplative living, a one-day prayer retreat, or a weekend intro to various forms of contemplative prayer

The intent will be to explore three core values vital to SoulStream facilitation:

facilitating out of our own current lived experience
facilitating with personal honesty and vulnerability
facilitating in community

Within the framework of these values, the workshop will offer opportunity to explore specific aspects of planning for such an experience:

developing desired outcomes
finding an appropriate rhythm and structure
asking questions that help to go deeper
addressing potential issues that might be encountered
considering the value of humour

The workshop will also involve a panel of experienced SoulStream facilitators.
Participants will be expected to engage with some material prior to the workshop.

Cost

Cost of registration is $185 CDN

Registration or tuition will be payable as follows:

100% of fees due within 30 days of registration. No confirmed registration until payment received.

Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel 14 days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund, minus a $50 administration fee.
Participants who cancel within 14 days of the event will receive no refund.
All application fees are non-refundable.
SoulStream recognizes that unforeseen circumstances may arise that cause participants to withdraw. When circumstances are beyond a participant’s control, they can contact the SoulStream administrator to discuss possibilities for refund or deferral.

If SoulStream cancels

If SoulStream cancels an offering/course without rescheduling, registration fees may be offered to SoulStream as a donation for a tax receipt if the participant chooses, or refunded in full.
