Ruth Des Cotes

I am an environmental educator with A Rocha in Surrey, a mother and grandma. I began to explore contemplative prayer and spiritual formation in the early 2000s, when my husband and I began the ministry of Imago Dei.  I took Living from the Heart and spiritual direction training in 2017. I particularly appreciate rhythms of daily prayer, and am aware of the special connection for me with creation and prayer. Knowing deep loss within my family has also drawn me close to God over the last number of years, and living in community has held me in good ways. Spiritual direction for myself has become an important part of reorienting my heart, mind and spirit in daily life, and I feel it is a very necessary component of spiritual health for us all!
