Simone Weil . . . on Beauty

. . . . The beauty of this world is Christ’s tender smile coming to us through matter.

. . . . The beautiful is the experimental proof that the incarnation is possible.

. . . . Beauty captivates the flesh in order to obtain permission to pass right to the soul.

  1. THAT beauty captivates the flesh……to obtain permission…..this is so lovely….it makes me remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder….and how something can touch one soul so piercingly…..and be passed over by another…..how personal and kindred is that!!!
